Cutrone: “Leaving Milan was a shock. I can’t wait to play at the San Siro again”

Como's striker and former Milan player, Patrick Cutrone, spoke to 'Cronache di Spogliatoio' microphones about leaving Milan years ago:

"Leaving Milan was a shock. It was a special moment, because I imagined myself there. It all happened at once, not easy to digest. But that's football. I was 21 years old and leaving the place where I grew up. I was very attached to the team and the fans. Many people wrote to me after the promotion (to Serie A, with Como). You know the relationship between me and them. I grew up at Milan and in those two years in the First Team, I created a strong bond. When the calendar is released, I will look at that date, and it will feel strange to play at San Siro, the most beautiful stadium in the world. I can't wait."

He then concludes by summarizing the difficulties faced after leaving Milan:

"After Milan, I never found continuity. I went to England, to Wolves. Then to Fiorentina, and then to Valencia for 6 months on a dry loan. Three different countries. Those were difficult years. It's not easy not having continuity as a striker. But these experiences helped me grow. The Como option gave me stability. I had lost my peace of mind and made the right choice. It meant returning home, to the team of my city, with a great project. And I embraced it."
