Joshua Zirkzee remains the most talked-about forward on the Italian and European market today. The Dutch striker is liked by many clubs, and every day, through contacts, meetings, and phone calls, someone gains an advantage in trying to snatch him from Bologna.
The player has a release clause, valid for all clubs and not just Bayern Munich, and it is set at 40 million euros.
According to Calciomercato.com, In a recent meeting, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, external consultant for Milan and advisor to RedBird Capitals, presented the player with the club's technical project for the upcoming season, in which he would inevitably play a starring role. Zirkzee has given Ibrahimovic his approval for the move to Milan.
This approval is not exclusive, however, as among the many options on the table, the former Bayern player would also welcome a move to Juventus, where he would reunite with Thiago Motta, who helped him excel at Bologna this year. Additionally, he is considering a move to the Premier League, where many top clubs (notably Manchester United and Arsenal) are looking for a new number 9 to add to their squads.
What is still missing is a not insignificant detail. While freeing him from Bologna requires paying the 40 million euros release clause (technically all at once to avoid negotiations, though there is some room to work with the Rossoblu club), an economic agreement must also be reached with his agent, Kia Joorabchian, who is waiting for a bidding war regarding his commission fees. This is currently the most important battle to secure Zirkzee's talent as soon as possible.
