This is what emerges from the report 'The European Elite 2024', in which Football Benchmark analysed the Enterprise Value of the 32 best European clubs, calculated according to the main international standards, certifying for AC Milan a year-on-year growth of +35% - which rises to +163% considering the last eight seasons -, thus positioning the Rossoneri as the best case of virtuous management in Europe.
The same positive trend is confirmed in the different aspects analysed: from the return to profit after 17 years to the fan base on the Club's social channels, up to the operating revenues, which have increased by 84% in the last five seasons. In the last year, in particular, all revenue items showed a significant improvement, with matchday revenue more than doubling.
An analysis that reconfirms the validity of the path of self-sustainability undertaken by AC Milan - first among the top Italian clubs - with a virtuous model fuelled by revenue growth and reinvestment of the same in strengthening the team, for a stable and growing ability to compete for the highest sporting goals.
Along this path, while the Club's revenues grew from €241.1 million in 2018/19 to the record for the Club of €404.5 million in the 2022/23 season, in the last three seasons AC Milan has been the Italian club to have invested the most, with €191.1 million net of disposals, in the progressive strengthening of the squad.
At the same time, over the past four years and in a scenario of great volatility in Serie A results, AC Milan has qualified for the Champions League consistently for the past four seasons, winning a Scudetto and reaching the semi-finals for the first time in 16 years last season.
