According to Claudio Raimondi's report for the Italian outlet SportMediaset, there has been an important phone contact in recent hours between AC Milan's management and Kia Joorabchian, agent of Joshua Zirkzee, who has long been the top name on Milan's list to strengthen their attack.
The parties are negotiating the agent's commission, which will not be 15 million euros but is expected to be around 5-6 million euros.
The Dutch player is pushing for this solution because he wants to continue playing in Italy, and the Milan option represents a great opportunity for him. To acquire him from Bologna, the Rossoneri club management will indeed have to pay the 40 million euro release clause, money that could largely come from the sales of Charles De Ketelaere to Atalanta (26 million with bonuses) and Alexis Saelemaekers to Bologna (10 million euros).
