Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport features an in-depth article about Milan Under 23, the club’s second team, which is awaiting the green light from the F.I.G.C. to register for the Serie C championship for the 2024-2025 season. Ancona club is expected to make way for them. The team from Marche, in fact, submitted an incomplete application, and rejection by CoViSoC is imminent.

Thus, the long-awaited verdict could arrive as early as next week. Milan will become the third club, after Juventus (Next Gen) and Atalanta, to have an Under 23 team in the third-tier tournament. For this occasion, the club has planned a significant total investment of 12 million euros, excluding operating expenses. There will be a strong connection between Milan Under 23, which will be coached by Daniele Bonera, and the First Team.

Essentially, it will be an 'expanded group' of 50-55 players, providing Milan with a substantial reservoir of talent in professional football. According to regulations, Milan Under 23 should be placed in Group C of Serie C, which is primarily reserved for Southern Italian teams, as Atalanta is in Group A and Juve Next Gen in Group B. A rule prevents second teams from being in the same group.

The Roman newspaper noted that, barring any last-minute changes, Milan Under 23 will play its home matches at the Solbiate Arno stadium. This stadium, which previously hosted the Primavera team, is located just a short distance from the Rossoneri's training center in Milanello. The club will be responsible for upgrading the facilities: adding 2,000 seats to meet Serie C criteria, with an expenditure of 750,000 euros.
