AC Milan have been working for a while on the deal to sign Zirkzee. But, there has been no agreement found yet with the agent who represents the Dutch forward, Kia Joorabchian.
The Rossoneri is advantaged by the lack of interest from Bayern Munich (which holds a 40% resale clause on the Dutchman), given the presence of Kane and Tel in their offensive lineup, and by the absence of an official proposal from Arsenal and Manchester United, as the two English clubs have not yet decided on their market strategy and are aware that Milan is now close to a decisive breakthrough.
The first turning point has already come with the agreement on the contractual terms between Milan and Zirkzee: the Dutchman has accepted the five-year contract offer worth 4 million euros (including bonuses) per season. The only remaining hurdle is to convince Joorabchian, the last obstacle to finalising the complete agreement.
The only and main problem towards the breakthrough, given the clear intentions of the player and Milan, is the discrepancy that still exists regarding the commissions to be paid to the agent Kia Joorabchian.
The agent has returned to asking for 15 million euros to close the deal. Milan, meanwhile, are trying to lower the commission request. The final decision will rest with the Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani, who, together with the technical director Geoffrey Moncada, will review and decide whether to accept the commission payment requested by Joorabchian, also to lower the cost of an operation that will have an annual amortization of 17.25 million (8 for the amortization of the transfer fee, plus the 9.25 gross for the salary, based on a net salary of approximately 5 million per year).
Negotiations are ongoing: Zirkzee-Milan, Kia Joorabchian's requests will be decisive and are the real obstacle to achieving a breakthrough, as reported by Calciomercato.com.
