AC Milan looking into the possibility of signing Lukaku, but he is not the only Chelsea on the radar

Milan continues to work in this transfer market, which officially started yesterday, to strengthen and complete Paulo Fonseca's squad ahead of the next season. The goal, as has been stated for some time, is to provide the Portuguese coach with at least one reinforcement per department, with the attack and midfield remaining the absolute priorities given the need to bolster those areas of the field.

In light of this, many interesting names have been linked to Milan in recent weeks, but according to the Italian newspaper in this morning's edition 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', the Milan-London axis with Chelsea could once again bear fruit, as not only is Romelu Lukaku's name on the table, but also those of two other players who are highly regarded at Casa Milan.

Paulo Fonseca would like to have his new striker as soon as possible, but the new Milan coach knows very well that negotiations are slow during the Euros. Defeated by Theo and Maignan's France, Romelu Lukaku's Belgium was derailed, but this does not mean that the Belgian striker will decide his future imminently. Now, the former Inter and Roma player wants to enjoy his vacation with his family and carefully evaluate what to do next season, with Milan, Napoli, and Saudi Arabian clubs on the table.

Among these, however, the option to wear the Rossoneri colours seem the most concrete and plausible, given that the Napoli outfit are struggling significantly with the Osimhen issue. If Milan has not yet made a decisive move, it is because Chelsea's demands are excessive. For Lukaku, who is 31 years of age, the Blues want at least 40 million euros, the same amount requested from Roma for the Belgian's permanent signing, and which, like the Giallorossi, the AC Milan management is not willing to pay.

For this reason, either an agreement similar to last year's deal that brought the former Inter player to Rome, namely a 6 million euro loan with a buy-option to be negotiated, is sought, or the London club significantly lowers its demands.

Milan and Chelsea are not only talking about Romelu Lukaku, which remains, of course, the most high-profile and important operation among the three. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri management is also evaluating Trevoh Chalobah and Carney Chukwuemeka with the Blues' management, two players well-known at Casa Milan as they have been on the radar for some time.

Of course, it will take some time before a deal is finalized, as the arrival of the two players depends significantly on other operations, Trevoh Chalobah's arrival would depend on Thiaw's departure, while Carney Chukwuemeka is not a priority compared to Monaco's Fofana, but they are two names not to lose sight of in this transfer market for Milan.
