Yesterday, it was a gathering with very little attendance, something rarely seen at Milanello in recent years. The absence of the ultras was significant and felt. A low-key gathering, in line with Milan’s transfer campaign so far.

Zero signings and a feverish wait from the fans for the new striker. Unfortunately for Milan, Zirkzee slipped through their fingers, as the club decided not to spend 15 million on commissions. It’s a real shame to have worked for 7 months on a deal that then fell through. Especially since Zirkzee was always the primary target, and the management had even reached an agreement with the player, only to stop at the obstacle of the commissions.

The backup plan is Alvaro Morata, he is the mystery man. Milan is clinging to the Spanish player's "yes" and hopes he can arrive as soon as possible. Ibrahimovic has continuous contacts with the Atletico striker and is confident he can accept. Milan is currently hoping that Morata can join Fonseca's team because if not, they will have to start looking for another forward again.

Yesterday, Ibrahimovic put his face on the line in a conference and made a promise:

"There will be acquisitions, and the striker will arrive shortly."

Explicit words, and we don’t think someone like Zlatan would lie to his own fans. So, we have to wait a few more days. After all, everyone hoped for a different, more exciting June, but it wasn’t so, and some mistakes in judgment were made.

At Milanello, as reported by Milan News, the gathering passed without much excitement and with little enthusiasm. It reflects the moment. From what we’ve seen, Fonseca seems like a good person; he has the right manners, but the field will be the ultimate judge, and it’s there that he’ll have to make a difference. He promised to win, we’ll see. To do so, he will certainly need reinforcements.

Yesterday, among the various call-ups, neither Ballo-Touré nor Divock Origi were on the field. The former Liverpool player is the most striking "cut". He didn’t even train with the first team but directly with the Under-23 group along with the young players.

Origi is one of the sure departures, but it’s surprising how a player earning 4 million euros net per year starts the preparation with 'Milan Futuro'. A strong message to the 29-year-old Belgian, now it’s up to him to find a team.
