Considering the situation regarding Davide Calabria's contract renewal, AC Milan wants to safeguard itself in this transfer market by providing Paulo Fonseca with a new right-back. Initially, there was much talk about Tiago Santos, a prospect from Lille launched by the Portuguese coach. However, the preferred choice of the Rossoneri management has always been Emerson Royal, a still relatively young (born in '99) and experienced profile who could be a reliable option for several seasons. However, the distance with Tottenham is still quite significant, which is why Milan has started looking around for valid alternatives to potentially target.
Despite the general agreement between the player and the club, Emerson Royal's arrival at Milan is becoming increasingly complicated due to Tottenham's demands, which apparently have no intention of budging from the 25 million euros valuation for the player. This has led the Rossoneri to consider an alternative, which surprisingly could come from Manchester. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan has set its sights on 26-year-old right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka of Manchester United and 23-year-old full-back Issa Kaboré of Manchester City (spent last season on loan at Luton town).
Both defenders could be an enticing solution for Milan's right flank, with the latter even already being proposed by his entourage.
