After signing Alvaro Morata to fill the gap left by Olivier Giroud's departure in the summer, Milan is not planning to stop with its offensive line. The idea of the Rossoneri is to add another forward to Fonseca's squad who can act as an alternative or complement to the Spaniard.

Among the names mentioned, the one still in the running and favored by the Portuguese coach is Tammy Abraham, the Roma striker.

Tammy Abraham is 26 years old and is a close friend of Rossonero defender Fikayo Tomori. However, last season he barely played due to a knee injury he had to recover from. He is now looking for redemption and a comeback, situations often favored by a transfer to Milan, as recent additions have shown. According to Corriere dello Sport this morning, Roma has put Abraham up for sale: the Giallorossi are very active in the market and not only have they signed a new striker (Dovbyk) but they also need to recoup some of the expenses made. For this reason, Roma's asking price is very high: 35 million euros. This is a significant valuation for a player who was bought for 42 million three seasons ago but has not lived up to expectations, especially recently. Milan clearly does not intend to spend that much on a player who would mainly serve as a backup.

In all this, the hypothesis has emerged in recent days, particularly from Roma's side, to request a technical counterpart from Milan to lower the price of the English striker. The top idea, according to the newspaper Corriere dello Sport, would be Alexis Saelemaekers, one of those players on the brink in the Rossoneri squad: he was supposed to leave but has impressed Fonseca quite a bit in this preseason. The Portuguese coach has effectively requested to keep him in the squad. On the other hand, Daniele De Rossi needs an attacking winger and has identified the Belgian as the best profile: the Rossonero number 56 is valued at 10 million euros. Other names include another winger who can also play as a forward, Noah Okafor, and right-back like Davide Calabria.
