Álvaro Morata is presents himself to Milan as he participated in initiatives from the official Rossoneri channels, such as 'Face Off', the program which involves a series of questions during a game of table football.
What does Milan represent for you?
"The nicest and most important challenge of my career. In these days, I had the chance to talk with Kaká, Ibra, Beckham, who reminded me of the history of this club and everything that has been written at the European and national levels. I can’t wait to be a part of it."
Why the number 7:
"First of all, I must thank Adli. It was a gesture I never expected. It’s my favourite number, and I’ve never had the chance to wear it at clubs for various reasons, but he made me very happy."
Winning the European Championship as captain?
"It was an incredible emotion, the end of a journey that starts at 12-13 years old when you first step on the national team’s training ground and hope to be there one day, in a photo with a trophy. But being at the center of the photo with the trophy in hand is even more incredible. This European Championship was like a fairytale."
What convinced you to choose Milan, Morata answered:
"It was very easy, especially when a team like Milan says ‘We want you and no one else.’ In the football world, no team had given me as much trust, and I think that will be reflected on the field."
Who is your idol?
"Fernando Torres, David Villa, or Raúl. I try to take a bit from the best in history and a bit from my teammates."
Dedication of the first goal?
"I will dedicate it to my children, and it will be a wonderful emotion."
On Francesco Camarda:
"He has the future ahead of him, he needs to work and learn how to outmaneuver defenders who are more skilled and experienced than those he has faced so far. But I can help him. Who knows, maybe now I don’t know, but I might sit on the bench for him… Who knows, football is also this. He is a great player who could be a present or future star for Milan."
Imagine your first goal at San Siro... Morata commented:
"It's a through ball, the goalkeeper comes out to get it, and I move to the side and score with no goalkeeper, after faking him out.”
