UEFA's team of reporters, correspondents and editors across the continent picked out some of Europe's rising men's stars. The list included two AC Milan players who are Jens Petter Hauge and Daniel Maldini.
Jens Petter Hauge was signed by AC Milan in the previous mercato session shortly after his stunning performance against the Rossoneri team and in front of the eyes of Milan management and scouts. The deal then happened quickly and was closed for a fee around €4M. Since then, Hauge managed to deliver and show some good glimpses of his potential. Hopefully, he can show even more as he integrates more into the squad.
Daniel Maldini, son of Milan's legend Paolo Maldini, and grandson of the late legendary Cesare Maldini needs little introduction. However, against the family tradition, he is an attacking midfielder and not a defender. This is his first season in the UEFA Europa League, having made his Serie A debut last term. He is a product of the Milan Primavera.
This is a sign that AC Milan's plan is on the right path which is to have young players with a significant potential. The current squad does not lack young guys, and there is also balance with the presence of leadership and experience in Ibrahimovic and Kjaer.
