Matchday 20 in Serie A as competitors have passed the halfway point of the season looking to solidify their places in the table and achieve their season goals. Milan will travel to visit ex Milan coach Siniša Mihajlović at Bologna. Bologna currently stands in 13th place only 6 points about the relegation zone. It's fair to say Mihajlović will want his men to give it their all against the Rossoneri as they were defeated on the opening day of the season with Zlatan Ibrahimović scoring a brace at the San Siro.
Milan is coming off the derby loss in the quarterfinals of the Coppa Italia, although it was a bitter defeat. The game had a rather extreme turn of events leading to the loss. But the Rossoneri will keep their heads high and will want to continue on their amazing season still standing tall at the top of the table with 43 points. The latest injury to the squad is Simon Kjaer who had to bow out early in the Coppa Italia.
This is how Milan could possibly lineup on Saturday:
Milan: 4-2-3-1: G. Donnarumma; Calabria, Tomori, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Kessié , Tonali; Saelemakers, Leão, Rebić; Ibrahimović
A must-win game for Milan to continue to build onto their lead in the table. Fikayo Tomori will get his first start for the side after his debut off the bench in the derby due to Kjaer's unfortunate injury. Tomori was excellent in his debut with his defensive awareness and physicality to not give the opposition any space to find easy shots and even had a goal-line clearance for Milan. He will be looking to add to his exceptional performance. Tonali makes his way back to the starting XI partnered with Kessie and will be looking to dominate in the midfield area. Rebic and Saelemakers will be efficient on the wings with their counter-attacking brilliance and defensive efforts tracking back to cover if our fullbacks end up going forward. Leão will be playing right behind Ibrahimović looking to assist the Swede. Ibrahimović will be looking to shake off the last game as he was sent off which ultimately changed the momentum of the game. Zlatan will be hungry for another goal to add to his exceptional goal ratio.
