AC Milan got back to winning ways and closed the January month that saw three losses: two in the league against Juventus and Atalanta and one in the Coppa Italia against Inter. The club reacted well and managed to secure the three points against Bologna.
However, many were quick to comment on the number of penalties that the Rossoneri team has received so far this season and there was a bit of criticism to the referee.
Earlier, ex referee Luca Marelli, adressed the game in Bologna and Doveri's decisions. This is what he had to say to Tutti Convocati on Radio 24:
"In reality there is nothing to discuss about the two penalties earned by AC Milan. But, a debate can be started on a possible red card for Bologna's full-back, Dijks, who committed a foul on Leao. It is a question of interpretation by the referee and not VAR."
