This saturday at 2:30pm CET, the AC Milan Women’s team play hosts to Sassuolo, at the Vismara for the second leg of the Coppa Italia quarterfinals and, thanks to the away goal scored by Giacinti in the first-leg that ended 1-1, a goalless draw is enough for the rossonere to advance to the semifinals
The probable formations
Even though the Coppa Italia is not the goal for this season, Maurizio Ganz is likely to field the best players Milan have, using this decisive game as an opportunity for them to get to know each other even better and how they would handle the pressure of a knockout tournament.
AC MILAN (3-5-2): Korenciova; Fusetti, Agard, Spinelli; Bergamaschi, Simic, Jane, Vero, Tucceri-Cimini; Giacinti, Dowie.
SASSUOLO (4-3-1-2): Lemey, Philtjens, Mihashi, Pirone, Dubcova, Orsi, Tomaselli, Santoro, Cambiaghi, Lenzini, Filangeri.
Key player
Spanish Midfielder Verónica Boquete is the go-to player when it comes to creativity and she has it all, from dribbles to magic passes like the no-look one to Dowie score her second goal last weekend.
Keep an eye on
After scoring a double and providing an assist against San Marino in the last league game, Dowie will absolutely do everything to keep the momentum and score her first goal in this competition.
Where to watch
Unfortunately, the game won’t be broadcasted on TV as Sky have two other fixtures (Juventus-Empoli and Fiorentina-Internazionale) on its programmation schedule and Sassuolo will be only live tweeting the game. Although, stay tuned because sometimes Milan announces the official club app will broadcast the game around an hour before kick-off, set to 2:30pm CET.
