AC Milan Women’s team headcoach Maurizio Ganz spoke to Milan TV microphones following the draw against Sassuolo, which allowed the rossonere through the semifinals.
Here what he said:
On the result
"It was a balanced match, the two teams wanted the qualification. I think we played well, we had two or three good opportunities that hit the crossbar or were defended by their goalkeeper, so we were unable to score, but we wanted to qualify at all costs, we did it, we are satisfied, and I wanted to praise all the players, those who started, those who entered during the game and those who watched the match with great desire and team spirit from the bench."
On newcomer Yui Hasegawa
"Yui (Hasegawa) is a great talent. Of course, it will take some time to adapt to Italian football, which is different from others, but she has great technique, great dynamism and a lot of desire to show everything she can play. Today was her debut and we hope to see her on the field against Pink Bari for a few more minutes."
On the international break and next games
"This international break is important for us because it allows us to prepare for the semifinal of the Coppa Italia, and also for the match in Bari and I also hope the Azzurre to beat Israel."
