With the Argentinian manager Jorge Sampaoli being only few steps away from taking the lead of Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille, former club defender Adil Rami explained how big of an admirer Sampaoli could be in regard of OM star player and AC Milan target Florian Thauvin, which may change the 28-year-old's mind, as he is reluctant to renew his contract expiring by the end of the season, with the Rossoneri recently intensifying contacts to secure the French international's services.
“Sampaoli is someone who really loves the ball. For OM it can be good but you also have to take into account the style of Ligue 1: there are not many open teams, while he is really straight to the goal. Sampaoli could do good unfortunately for guys like Florian Thauvin. I say 'unfortunately' because Florian is at the end of his contract and I don't know if he will extend. But that's the kind of player he likes: guys who try one-on-one, who shoot on goal, who want to play ball…" said the current player of Portuguese club Boavista Porto to the microphones of RMC Sport.
