Milan eye Verona defender Matteo Lovato for defense in the summer with Maldini looking to provide Pioli with players suited to his game system according to Calcio Mercato.
Although Stefano Pioli is veered strongly on Fikayo Tomori who after the excellent performance in Roma is sending a strong signal to Maldini and Massara in view of the possible redemption from Chelsea in June, Milan technical directors also have their sight on another young prospect who has long been on their radar of the Rossoneri in view of the future.
Lovato is growing under the watchful eye of Verona coach Ivan Juric with a promising start in Seria A and the 21-year-old is currently worth 20 million euros a figure that Milan tried to lower in the January Mercato by inserting Leo Duarte but rejected by Verona.
The defender is also followed by Seria A champions Juventus.
