AC Milan women midfielder Dominika Čonč, in an interview with Milan TV spoke about the Rossonere, the defeat against Juventus, the Slovenian national team, and the upcoming derby.
On the Milan derby:
"The derby is very special and we all train to play this kind of match, we are excited. In the last match against Inter, we scored four goals which were very nice. We all want to make history with the Rossoneri and we will do everything to get to the final and win it.
On the loss to Juventus:
"Defeats are part of football and I think playing against another Topside like Inter is good after the loss to Juventus. We have analyzed the mistakes we made and we will try not to repeat them against Inter. We don't have a problem looking past the defeat, it is behind us now we have to focus on another very important match".
On the Slovenian national team:
"The Slovenian national team is very young, I am among the oldest, the path is only at the beginning, we have grown a lot in recent years, improving a lot and we are ready to have our say in an important competition. We failed to qualify for the European Championships and we are sorry. We are a small nation with very little resources but we achieved a lot and with a good draw we can qualify for the world cup".
On the Rossonere squad and new signings:
"We have a stronger squad this year compared to previous seasons, our training is more intense and then we are a year older with more experience. Veronica is very experienced and we all know what she has achieved so I feel we are lucky to play with her, Yui is a player with good technical abilities and we are glad to have two top players with us".
About Italy:
"Italy is a place open to various cultures, I like the food and I like it very much. It is close to Slovenia and I can go home every now and then. Women's football is growing and men's football has a great tradition" Čonč added.
