After two losses in a row, against Juventus and Internazionale, AC Milan have the chance to redeem themselves this Sunday against Empoli on matchday 16 of the Serie A.
The probable line-ups
Now we’re stepping in a grey area here. It seems that Maurizio Ganz shuffle the cards and changes the AC Milan formation every time they face a defeat. On matchday 5, after losing to Juventus, he switched from the initial 4-3-1-2 to a 3-5-2 and then, went on 10 games winning streak in Serie A, only to lose one more time to Juventus on the last league game. In the following game, he switched back to the 4-3-1-2 against Internazionale and the rossonere got beaten in the Copa Italia semi-final first leg.
The visitors, on the other hand, come from a 3-1-win last fixture against Bari and promoted a change in the office, with Domenico Aurelio becoming the new Sporting Director. The Tuscan’s Head coach Alessandro Spugna should deploy his traditional 4-3-3 against the rossonere, hoping to snatch some points and move up in the table.
AC MILAN (3-5-2): Korenciova; Spinelli, Agard, Fusetti; Tucceri-Cimini, Grimshaw, Rask, Hasegawa, Bergamaschi; Giacinti, Dowie
EMPOLI (4-3-3): Capelletti; Di Guglielmo, Knol, Giatras, De Rita; Prugna, Bellucci, Cinotti; Glionna, Dompig, Polli
Background

Keep an eye on
For AC Milan’s side, Tucceri-Cimini is the only player to have scored on both times AC Milan and Empoli face each other. Also, Whether Ganz decides to play her left central-midfielder or on a more centralized role, Yui Hasegawa poses as the most dangerous player for the rossonere.
Empoli striker Elisa Polli has 7 league goals to her name so far and makes justice to the #9 on her back. In addition to her, AC Milan must try to keep midfielder Norma Cinotti at bay or else she has the ability to create a lot of troubles to the already shaken rossonere’s defense.
Back from the infirmary
It's probable that Veró Boquete, Giorgia Spinelli and Rafiloe Jane will be avaiable this time after being sidelined due to injuries.
