AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has spoken in the press conference earlier tonight following his team's win against Fiorentina in the Serie A. Here are his statements:
On dealing with the Manchester post-game:
"I was confident, I know my players and the desire they have to demonstrate their qualities. We came out with our heads held high but it was a disappointment, we wanted to go on. Every time we crashed the players showed the desire to react."
On whether he is happy with the response of those who have played less:
"We coaches are always happy when those who play less are ready, but it must be normal. This year, however, all the players have played many games."
On the return of Zlatan and Bennacer:
"We have gone through difficult periods, especially due to the number of absences. I am happy with the return of Zlatan, Isma, I hope that the break will help us to recover some other players."
On whether the fight for the Scudetto is still on:
"Milan will have to try to win all the games, then we'll see."
On the fact that Ibra could've scored two goals today:
"He gets angry when he fails to materialize these opportunities. I didn't think he could hold up the whole game, his return is very important, I hope he can recover the best condition as soon as possible."
