In an exclusive interview granted to Milan TV, AC Milan's midfielder Ismael Bennacer has spoken about some of his teammates and many other topics. Here are his statements:
On the injury:
“I was working hard to recover but I wasn't feeling very well. When you see the team lose, you lose too, I couldn't do anything and it was tough. But you still have to stay positive, if you can't help the team on the pitch you have to take it out. Everyone was close to me: the club, the coach, the directors, the staff, even my teammates and my family. They helped me a lot, which is also why I remained very positive".
On his entry against Fiorentina:
“I tried to play as always, to help the team as always. I was hungry and wanted to play and stay with the ball, I was hungry to win with the team. I have put all this on the field when I entered [in] Florence”.
On the last phase of the season:
“Let's try to learn from our mistakes, there are ten games left. The next match is always the most important for us, we are fine and we are ready for this season finale”.
On Kessie:
“We are good on the pitch with Franck, but it's the same with the other players. Maybe it's easier with Franck because we've been playing together for longer. We must do everything to help the team”.
On Tonali:
“Sandro is growing, he is working hard. It is never easy to get to a team like Milan when you are so young, you have to work hard and he is on the right path”.
On the national team:
“When I was in the national team I worked the same as at Milanello following my schedule, I played to get back into the rhythm and I was fine. I have to keep working like this, a lot”.
On being at Milan:
"We are Milan and we must always believe we can do the best possible, give everything on the pitch and off the pitch to be at our best during the match".
