According to TuttoMercatoWeb, new Marseille manager Jorge Sampaoli has brought a new enthusiasm to the club and convinced Milan target Jordan Amavi to sign an extension. Marseille had struggled throughout the season in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League, leading to an eventual sacking of their manager. Sampaoli took the helm on March 8, and has since only suffered one defeat, carrying a great deal of momentum in to their last three matches as they fight for a Europa qualification. The team's attitude has greatly improved, and it could help them in terms of securing contract renewals.
Amavi has battled with injuries for a good deal of the season, allowing him to appear in only 11 league matches thus far, but he is slowly regaining his best condition. He plans to sign a 4-year agreement with the club. He was closely followed by Milan, as well as Napoli and Arsenal for a great deal of the season.
