AC Milan Women striker and captain Valentina Giacinti were a guest on today’s AC Milan talk at the AC Milan Official channel at Twitch. She shed a light on various topics such as the emotion of making it to Champions League for the first time, her expectations on the Coppa Italia final against Roma and on next Serie A match against Hellas Verona and much more.

Here are her words:

On the qualification to the Champions League:

“We have been fighting for this for three years, and thanks to the help of the new players we’ve done it. This year the Serie A was more difficult than the previous one, we are glad we made it. Now on the last matchday we can play a little more at ease and then, focus on the Coppa Italia final”

On the next Serie A match, against Hellas Verona:

“We must play this match well to get to the final more aware of our potential. We want to add three points more and finish the league on a high note”

On the Coppa Italia Final:

“We’re all hyped up. We immediately thought about this fixture right after the game with Sassuolo. It would be the first trophy with AC Milan. There is a lot of expectation and a lot of desire to do well. Roma is doing well and improving. We will have to fight as AC Milan and we will have to take advantage of all the opportunities we create, we must be cynical”

On her favorite players from the AC Milan Men’s team:

“I really like Theo Hernandez and how Kessie plays, they’re great”

On the Men’s team making it to Champions League too:

“I hope the Men’s team also qualifies to Champions League, but we know it’s hard to play in Bergamo. Maybe Atalanta win the Coppa Italia tonight, so they might party a little too much and we win on Sunday!”
