The negotiations for the renewal of Gianluigi Donnarumma have been "frozen" until the end of the season, as confirmed a while ago by Paolo Maldini himself (read it here).
Donnarumma has an offer from AC Milan which is 8 million euros per year, the Rossoneri does not intend to go higher than that. Super Italian-Dutch agent Mino Raiola, however, asks for at least 10 million euros.
As reported by today's edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the duration of the possible new run must also be defined: according to Gigio's agent, it is not necessary to go beyond a two-year deal.
AC Milan would ideally want to sign with the Italian talent for 5 years. The parties could meet in the middle and agree over a 3-year-deal.
Another issue that needs to be addressed is the release clause, as the agent would want it to be lower in order to provide for himself and his client a convenient way out to another destination in the future.
