According to what calciomercato.com has learned, management in Milan has made contact with Bologna for midfielder Jerdy Schouten. Maldini and Massara will be certain to keep themselves busy this summer, and they reportedly will look to reinforce the midfielder. The 24-year-old plays as a holding midfielder, and can mold to Pioli's double pivot midfield.
The Dutch youngster does not lack suitors, as he is being followed by Atalanta and clubs in the Premier League. The profile caught the Rossoneri's eye following Milan's 2-1 victory back in January. Milan will look to get an early move on Schouten, and have reportedly already been in contact with the player's entourage. Schouten has 51 appearances for his club, scoring one goal thus far in Serie A.
Milan already have two solid starters in the midfield in Bennacer and Kessie. Tonali is also expected to be purchased permanently, and Pobega will be returning from loan. Despite the depth, Milan will still look for reinforcements in the midfield, and will keep their eyes on Schouten.
