AC Milan plans to reinforce the midfield in the transfer market session of the summer. However, it is not a priority. The club management will look for opportunities to do so, according to Gazzetta dello Sport in today's print edition.
"The French talent is triggered" reads the headline of the newspaper highlighting the matter relating to Milan's targets.
Franck Kessié, Ismael Bennacer, and Sandro Tonali are not enough in the squad especially with the coming commitments of Champions League football and also because the Africa Cup is scheduled for January and therefore the two very titular Milan midfield players will be absent for almost a month.
To improve the midfield quality and depth, Milan once again look to France where they like Youssouf Fofana of Monaco, Boubacar Kamara of Marseille and Mahdi Camara of Saint-Etienne.
Youssouf Fofana is a right-footed French central-midfielder, he is 22 years old who made 40 appearances for Monaco this season. His contract expires in 2024
Boubacar Kamara is a highly deemed French talent, 21 years old, right-footed and with a contract that expires in 2022. He can play as a central midfielder but also a centre-back when needed. He appeared in 43 occasions this season in Ligue 1 for his team Marseille.
As for Mahdi Camara, he is a right-footed 22 years old midfielder playing for Saint-Etienne, he played in 33 matches this season with a contract that expires in 2024.
