Maurizio Sarri is reportedly close to being new coach of Lazio after their ex Italian technician decided to accept the offer from Inter.
In today's edition, Il Corriere dello Sport highlight the career of Maurizio Sarri and how it could have been very different from what it is now.
In fact, in 2015, the former Napoli and Juventus coach would have been close to taking up the position of head coach of the Rossoneri team. However, President and owner Silvio Berlusconi intervened and refused that the deal goes through "no communist coach".
Lotito, on the other hand, who was a candidate with Forza Italia, and is currently the owner of Lazio, doesn't care about politics and has decided to hire the technician without problems.
In his coaching career, Sarri has one Europa League title with Chelsea and one Serie A trophy with Juventus.
