Igli Tare, Milan sporting director, spoke to DAZN before Verona–Milan. His words:
There has been a lot of talk about Allegri and the players who are with him. What is your point of view?
"It is pointless to talk about this situation now. We must channel all this energy towards our objective, which is the Champions League. Achieving it would mean a great deal for the planning and the future of this club, so there is nothing to discuss about Allegri. He has done an excellent job this season, he still has a long contract with this club. As he said yesterday, he likes to plan and build an important project, and we are working on that together for the future."
Is your future linked to Allegri's? Tare replied:
"I honestly have no thoughts about these situations, because they are part of football. When results are not there, everything comes under question. We are aware of that. The most important thing for us is to achieve all our objectives, and once that is done we will all sit down together, Furlani, Ibra and the others, and try to build a winning project for next season."
How have you seen the players in recent days? Tare said:
"From now until the end there are six finals. Today’s is the most important. Maximum respect for this team, it only has to win. We must put in a strong performance and set the tone immediately to win this match and secure an important advantage for the rest of the season."
