Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are reportedly closing in on the signing of Argentina international Rodrigo De Paul, the latter is said to be only few steps away from joining the Colchoneros' La Liga winning squad ahead of the next summer transfer window.
According to the latest informatons provided by Alfredo Pedulla, the 27-year-old will be a new Atletico Madrid player as the Rojiblancos have communicated to Udinese, through a phone call, that they will pay the 40 million euros requested by the Bianconeri.
In fact, the price tag would be around 34-35 million plus easily reachable bonuses to get to 40, as reported by the same source.
For the record, De Paul is the number one target for Milan to replace club's playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu, should the latter end up rejecting renewal proposals.
