AC Milan are reportedly close to signing French experienced striker of Chelsea Olivier Giroud.
The 34 year-old veteran would be a welcome addition to the club if he comes on a free.
A two-year contract is ready with an option for a third year that would see Giroud earn a 4 million euros net per season.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the countdown for the transfer to be finally done has started.
The striker's representatives are working to contact the Blues and to get the green light from them. In the end, it could be Giroud himself who might have to talk with Chelsea's owner Roman Abramovich, since both men enjoy an excellent relationship.
The central forward will do everything he can do to secure the move to Milan and free himself from Chelsea, concludes the newspaper.
