In an exclusive interview granted to Milannews.it, Diario Sport journalist Toni Juanmarti has delivered all the details concerning the current situation of Barcelona's left-back Junior Firpo amid reported interest from AC Milan and West Ham. Here are his statements:
"The player likes Milan and he is interested in the Rossoneri. Milan, however, would like to borrow the player, so as to evaluate the redemption at the end of the season. Firpo still wants to go to Milan, but the Rossoneri's offer does not satisfy Barcelona. who does not want to find himself in the same situation next year. The negotiation is currently blocked and the agreement between the two teams is not yet there: Barça wants the transfer to be definitive and therefore wants to put in a minimum number of games that Firpo will have to play to make the redemption mandatory. In addition to Milan there are several teams in England, in particular West Ham. They have already formulated the offer to Barcelona, but the player prefers Italy to England, also for his personal life and for his family. In the past, there were also the interests of Napoli and Inter. Currently, however, the negotiation is like a game of chess: whoever gets tired first between Barcelona and Firpo, wins. My opinion is that in the end Barcelona will be the first to sell and that next year Firpo will play in Milan".
