Former AC Milan director Rocco Maiorino gave an interview to the microphones of Il Corriere dello Sport. During his time at Las Palmas, he discovered the talent of Pedri, who is playing now for Barcelona. This is what he had to say about the topic:
"I was sure that Pedri would reach certain levels. But I didn't think that he'd get there so quickly. Barcelona board were good to believe in his talent. For a moral kind of duty, I called the club where I spent 15 years of my life, AC Milan, they saw him. But, it was not an easy operation to make, I realise now. They couldn't take him so fast. Barça, on the other hand, trusted the player and it all went well."
