AC Milan players are set to leave as free agents. Gianluigi Donnarumma will join PSG once the deal is completed. Then, there is Hakan Calhanoglu who will go to city rivals Inter.
Milan president Paolo Scaroni commented about the exits of the two players by giving these statements to the microphones of La Politica nel pallone:
"We put a limit on the cost of our players' salaries. Beyond this limit everyone is free to do what they want."
On Donnarumma:
"We made a top offer to Donnarumma for what we could but it was not enough. I have read then that Gigio wanted to get out of the comfort zone after so many years in Milan and it seems to me a positive thing for a professional who has always behaved very well at Milan. The club found an excellent solution for the goalkeeper role so everything is fine."
On Calhanoglu:
"The same goes for him. We made him an offer. But if he finds a better proposal where he can earn money, then good for him. He is a professional. He had an excellent season and always behaved well here. Everyone is free to make their own choices. There is no recrimination from us."
