AC Milan are aiming to keep the Portuguese left-back, Diogo Dalot, of Manchester United within the squad for Stefano Pioli in view of next season after his loan move expired.
The 22-year-old versatile right-back, also capable of playing on the left proved to be a good option for rotation purposes to the Italian coach.
Milan are fans of the player's skills and do believe that he has great qualities to unleash soon. Therefore, Maldini and Massara are negotiating with the Red Devils managers to keep the player.
According to reports from Sky Sport, talks are ongoing between the Premier League and Serie A giants. For their part, the English club managers do not want to let go of the Portuguese on loan again while coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not even seem that convinced of selling him at all.
In case no agreement is reached, the alternative option is Alvaro Odriozola of Real Madrid.
