After the exit of Hakan Calhanoglu to city rivals Inter, Milan are evaluating options to find a new attacking midfielder.
According to SportMediaset, there are many names being suggested at the offices of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara. Here's what the journalist Claudio Raimondi had to say about the matter:
"James Rodriguez expressed his desire to leave Everton. His agent Mendes also proposed him to Milan; the operation would have low costs from the point of view of compensation: it would cost 10 million euros having the contract expiring in 2022. However the age and the salary aspect hinder the operation with the request for a three-year period of at least 7 million euros per season."
"Eliott looks to Leipzig's Marcel Sabitzer: he can leave Leipzig for 20 million euros as he expires and has less demands on his salary", he continues, "The made in Italy track is Mattia Zaccagni, with whom some counterparts such as Conti or Caldara could enter into negotiations to lower the request for 15 million euros of Hellas Verona. Dani Ceballos also attracts interest. He returned from loan spent at Arsenal and he's back at Real Madrid."
"The Surprise market hit for Milan could be Hakim Ziyech at the end of the market with Milan seeking the approval of Chelsea for the loan."
