Inter and Antonio Conte, who has won them a Scudetto trophy after many years, have parted ways due to some disagreements.
The Nerazzurri have then set their sights on Lazio's now-former boss Simone Inzaghi to take the reigns in view of the next season.
The city rivals management set up a press conference where they presented the new coach to the media. The Italian coach spoke on different topics, and among them was the derby and signing Hakan Calhanoglu from Milan. Here are his words:
On the derby against AC Milan:
"I know that there is a great rivalry here in Milan. Milan are a strong team that have had an excellent league campaign and remained in the lead for about 20 matchdays. Their coach, whom I know, is excellent. The derby will be an exciting challenge."
On signing Hakan Calhanoglu:
"He's a player I've always liked a lot and now he's here at Inter. The management of this club has been good and ready to take him. This move will give us great satisfaction. Calhaoglu has features that make him similar to Luis Alberto. He is skilled at set-pieces. Hakan has been in my mind for some time."
