Mattia Caldara spent more than 1 season on loan at Serie A club Atalantawhere he played well previously before signing for the Rossoneri. However, the return to Bergamo was not as successful as he had hoped.
The Italian centre-back is back to Milanello as he participates in training with his teammates. But, after a season plagued with injuries and physical problems, it seems that he will not remain at Milan either as Milan is looking for an accommodation for him.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport‘s knowlegde in today’s print edition, Torino have now entered the race to sign the former Juventus 27-year-old player.
The newspaper reports that AC Milan have opened to the idea of his transfer to the Turin-based club.
For the record, Caldara’s contract with AC Milan is due to expire in June 2023. Last season with Atalanta, he only managed to feature in 9 games between Serie A, Coppa Italia, and Champions League.
