In today's edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan's squad depth was highlighted and put under the spotlight. During the transfer market window of the summer, the Rossoneri concluded many operations in the hopes of bolstering the squad for coach Stefano Pioli.
The newspaper singled out two players in particular and branded them as the future by writing the following headline:
"With Bakayoko and Adli the future is already written."
The former Chelsea man is back to Milan on loan for the next two years after the 2018/2019 season. He is ready to be deployed in midfield and contribute to the squad's effort.
Then, it will Yacine Adli's turn, who was purchased this season and remained on loan with Bordeaux.
Franck Kessié's contract renewal remains a big puzzle and a difficult matter to deal with for the management, but Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have taken precautions by signing these two players in midfield.
