Former AC Milan full-back, Luca Antonini, spoke to the microphones of BBC about the AC Milan defeat against Liverpool in the Champions League fixture last night:
"There was personality, first of all. Going under against Liverpool and then having strength to score two goals is not for everyone. Then, there was the test of Maignan between the posts, Kjaer and Tomori as centre-backs."
On the chances of passing through this group stage:
"I believe that the AC Milan group is the toughest ever in this Champions League. But that's not all. The Rossoneri against Liverpool have shown that they are back where they deserve, on the most important stage in Europe. They will play there until the end."
On the regrets regarding the defeat:
"There are many regrets. Liverpool, driven by Anfield, were going at a pace that you don't see in Italy. Once the Rossoneri took the lead, they also seemed to be in fairly good control. Then came the 2-2 on a mistake and only a great Henderson goal gave the Reds the three points." said Antonini, "A Rossoneri fan, however, can also find positive notes."
