As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport in today's print edition, AC Milan and Inter are awaiting for the last 'yes' from the city council. Then, the two clubs will finally choose one of the two projects for the construction of the new stadium.
The report claims that the last sprint for this project to be truly initiated is expected after the elections.
To date, the gap in stadium receipts between the Milanese and the top European clubs is clear. AC Milan and Inter colelct a sum of money which is almost 40 million euros on average each from San Siro. But, with the new owned stadium and its facilities, each of Milan and Inter would expect to gain 120 million euros in yearly revenue. For context, Barcelona and Real Madrid earn from their respective facilities around 175 million euros. Bayern Munich are at 127 million euros while Manchester United gain 126 million euros on average.
