SPAL is currently 11th in the Serie B league table with 7 points after 5 games. They have won two games, drew one and lost two others. This shy run of form, however, does not reflect itself on AC Milan's loanee Lorenzo Colombo. In fact, the 19-year-old attacker has been sensational in the Serie B as he helped his team with 3 goals and 1 assist so far in 6 matches between the League and Cup.
SPAL president, Joe Tacopina, spoke during the podcast The Italian Football and said the following:
"Massara, AC Milan's sporting director, is one of my closest friends in Italy and when we closed for Lorenzo he called me and said: 'Joe, I'm about to give you the best striker in Serie B'. I think he was not wrong. I am convinced that one day he will also wear the national team jersey."
