AC Milan management, after the defeat against Atlético Madrid, seem ready to take some serious steps regarding the referee who ruined the direction of the match due to his calls.
According to what is reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport in today's edition, the Milanese club is ready to send a formal complaint to the offices of the UEFA against the infamous Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir.
In the match of AC Milan - Atlético Madrid, Cakir has shown a very harsh red card to Franck Kessié after 30 minutes of play-time, turned a blind eye to some foul in the Rossoneri's favour like De Paul's foul against Tonali and gave a wrong penalty for the Spanish team as it turns out, Lemar's hand touched the ball before Kalulu's hand.
The newspaper writes in the article that Cuneyt Cakir could risk a suspension by the European assosciation for his poor handling of the game. For UEFA, he is still reliable, but he will likely be stopped for a few matchdays and not officiate a final or an AC Milan game again.
