AC Milan's jewel and star, Brahim Diaz, former player of Manchester City and Real Madrid, saw his career reach new heights since the start of this season.
The player is now seen as a pillar for the club and a fan favourite thanks to his contribution up front as he made the club and supporters forget about Calhanoglu.
The young Spaniard has spoken to Radio Marca today. Here are his words:
"I'm doing what I like best. It is playing football and having fun on the pitch. When you have continuity you feel safer, even physically you are better. I am trying to reach much more in the box so the goals and assists are increasing. I feel more comfortable because I see more spaces, playing with both feet allows me to get out well on both sides. I like to have the ball at my feet, to aim at the opponent and create danger."
On being ambidextrous (able to play with both feet):
"I think it's innate, I just remember that at 4 or 5 I liked to have the ball on my feet and play alone, I needed a ball just for me. Even my parents tell me that is innate. I remember that as a child I had a coach who made us wear two socks, one white which indicated the good foot, and one black, which indicated the weak foot. When he said to play with the black socks, however, he saw that for me it was the same thing."
Brahim Diaz on Pioli:
"He made me grow, he helped me a lot in my way of playing. His spirit in the locker room, his passion for football and the way he sees the game, goes very well with the players he has. There are only good words towards him."
On the squad group:
"We are very compact, the group is very good. We like to attack the goal quickly and keep the ball. The Scudetto is a goal, we are Milan."
On his ex coach Zidane:
"He was a great player and he's a great coach. His charisma is great, he liked my football and I worked to play."
On Ibrahimovic:
"He was the first one I met in the Milan locker room. He is a leader on and off the pitch and my relationship with him is very good. He loves my football."
