Tonight, AC Milan took on Porto in what was matchday 4 of the Champions League group stage. The Rossoneri did not get the result they really aimed for which was three points. Instead, the two sides on the pitch shared the spoils with a 1-1 result.

The game started with Porto playing like in the first leg: being compact and holding themselves well on the pitch. The Rossoneri, on the other hand, were 'shy' in their attempts and could not make any dangerous chances for some time.

Milan conceded the goal in the 6th minute as Luis Diaz put one in the net of Ciprian Tatarusanu under protests of the red and black faithful that Marko Grujic made a foul on Ismael Bennacer before recovering the ball and passing it to his teammate.

The first half was very frustrating for Stefano Pioli's men who found the same difficulties encountered in Portugal. There was simply no space and the Portuguese team was very good in marking.

As for the second half, AC Milan was a little improved in terms of performance and tried harder to score an equaliser. In the 61st minute, Pioli's team finally equalised after a shot by Pierre Kalulu (who replaced Davide Calabria) which was deflected by Chancel Mbemba.

Then, the players of Stefano Pioli attempted to keep pressing high and creating more scoring chances. However, a second goal never came.

Milan now have 1 point only. But, now there is so much work to do and preparation as the next game is the Derby in Serie A.
