AC Milan played a strong derby match against Inter which ended in a 1-1 draw. One of the most beautiful moments of the game was how the fans were able to steal the spotlight with a very nice gesture as a tribute to the medical staff and teams that fought against Covid-19.
The creator of the choreography, Marco Pacini spoke to Il Corriere della Sera:
"The hope was to create a choreography for the first derby of the season. After studying the calendar in August, we wanted to set it up for the Champions League match with Atletico but then we realized that the derby would be a more global showcase. A four-month long self-financed work, it took 4 thousand square meters of fabric to make it. Since together with the club, we had made donations to The regional emergency urgency agency in the past, we asked for availability to collaborate on this initiative. Thanking the health professionals, we have shown that we know that Covid exists and that it must be fought. But politically we do not want to take sides: whoever comes into the curva must be vaccinated or show the swab test. These are the rules."
