Stefano Pioli was interviewed by Milan TV after the game against Fiorentina. Here's how the gaffer expressed himself:
"It certainly hurts, we have to feel this pain to taste the flavour of victory in the future again. It was not a bad performance, the regret is not having scored in the first half. We were in the game with great rhythm and danger but we were unable to score. Some situations are always decisive, we didn't put much intensity then and we paid dearly"
What should the team learn after this defeat?
"This team should learn that every ball must be played with the utomost attention. On the first goal, for example, I was already looking at the positions of our forwards to see if there was a possibility of a counterattack, and then instead, I see Fiorentina scoring against us. Each ball can become decisive for the final result. Today we made a few mistakes too many and we paid dearly for it. The higher the quality, the more they can punish you."
Pioli continued:
"There is no need for other reasons for Wednesday's match. I have a responsible group, after tonight he will play even more in what is already a very motivating match."
