AC Milan came out victorious against Atlético Madrid in what was a very difficult match in a challenging environment.

It is never easy to go to a full capacity stadium such as the 62k seater Wanda Metropolitano and establish dominance and win. Stefano Pioli pulled through with a great performance thanks to Junior Messias who delivered the win.

Fans of AC Milan on Twitter were very excited and happy to see the Rossoneri bring home three points. Here are some statements:

Wow...out of nowhere...AC Milan could do something!

"Hope is alive"

If Porto and Atletico tie against one another and Milan beat a potential Liverpool B side…. Milan would go through to the knockout stages… Hope is alive
