Empoli have been home of many useful and talented players in recent years. The current AC Milan management is always attentive to youngsters who are improving and displaying their talents in that club as they already signed Ismael Bennacer and Rade Krunic from there before.
Now, Tuttosport are claiming that Paolo Maldini is looking at the Empoli's squad once again as there is a player who caught his eye.
The profile in question is Nedim Bajrami. The Albanian 22-year-old attacking midfielder with Swiss roots is now on AC Milan's radar.
According to Tuttosport, Sassuolo are really keen on the player, too, and they are even willing to please the financial demands of Empoli by offering 10 million euros. Nothing official or concrete is done yet on that front. Meanwhile, the Rossoneri club is watching the situation closely as Nedim Bajrami could be a good backup for Brahim Diaz in that playmaker role.
So far this season, Nedim Bajrami has scored 7 goals and provided 4 assists in 21 games between Serie A and Coppa Italia. His contract with Empoli runs out in June 2024.
