AC Milan's performance in the latest clash against Spezia was not up to the fans' expectations. Despite the big error of referee Marco Serra, the team of Stefano Pioli was not able to close the game and missed many opportunities to secure an easy win.

That match is not the only one which made the fans worry, in fact, the Coppa Italia fixture before it, against Genoa, was also a difficult one despite winning 3-1.

One of the players who have not been showing a very good level at Milanello is Brahim Diaz. He has not been convincing recently especially since he has recovered from Covid-19.

The former Manchester City player must regain his confidence, or his future will be away from the Serie A giants. Currently, there is a lot of talk of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara thinking of other profiles to replace him already in the summer.

According to what is reported by Calciomercatonews.com, In case of farewell to Brahim Diaz (who is on loan from Real Madrid), AC Milan would try to make a deal with Atalanta for their Ukranian star Ruslan Malinovskyi who is a name that was followed before already.

The Ukrainian attacking midfielder has become one of the big players of Atalanta in recent years, and has a contract expiring in June 2023.

AC Milan, Brahim Diaz' replacement has about the same pricetag...

The 28-year-old former playmaker of Genk and Shakhtar Donetsk is valued between 25 million to 30 million euros. That is roughly the same amount of money that should go to Real Madrid in the event of signing Brahim Diaz permanently. This is why these coming few months will be decisive for the Spaniard to prove himself and earn a spot at Milanello.
